Cloth Cat are a grassroots charity based in inner-city Leeds that uses music training to help local people improve the quality of their lives. They help people to gain control over their lives and find avenues into employment by providing the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and to develop their musical talent. By doing this, they also provide a basis for empowerment, confidence and making music contacts that will become ever more useful as their abilities continue to grow towards their future.

Cloth Cat works with many disadvantaged individuals; those who are unemployed, suffer from mental illness, young offenders and many others who are underprivileged and in need of support and a positive outlet.

They run various musical courses periodically throughout the year across the city and hold an Open Mic night at The Chemic Tavern where people can showcase their talent in a friendly environment.
